Beinn Ime & Narnain
Colin & Frank went walking on a fantastic winter's day. Some clouds from about 750 m but what a pleasant surprise when we emerged at the summit of Beinn Ime above cloud level with glorious sunshine and fantastic views of Scotland's highest peaks.
Went on to Narnain which was also above the clouds and later on the clouds broke up as we headed home.
5 hr 45 minutes walking in total at a very brisk pace.

Orienteering
Went out to Craiglockhart hill on Saturday afternoon for a stroll around the yellow course then to Hopetoun House on Sunday morning. Max and Hannah and Cherry zoomed around the Yellow whilst Colin did the first half of the Sprint-O. The computers broke and delayed the second half so long we decided to head home.
Say some curlew's, oystercatchers, several heron and a large bird of prey.
RESULTS:
Ledlie Family came second on the YELLOW at Craiglockhart.
At Hopetoun House Max was 3 rd on Yellow and Hannah and Cherry came 5th (of 15). Colin came 30th of 43.

Junior Great Winter Run
Disaster Strikes for Max Ledlie in the Junior Great Winter Run. The hot favourite was well poised for a winning burst in the last 800 metres when his hamstring muscle pulled and he hobbled to the side of the track. The first aiders sprang to his assistance and advised that he walk back to the finish of the course. His coach came in for harsh criticism for not preparing the young star adequately. No warm-ups, no stretches. Oh Dear!

Junior Senior Relay at Flotterstone
Went out to the Pentlands on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. A big crowd gathered for a fun relay hill race. Max's team came in second place and Max was the second fastest junior. Colin came second on the medium course and his team was just behind Max's. Hannah did very well and was the eighth fastest junior. Both are pictured with medals and Max with a prize pedometer.

New Years Day
We got off to any active start to the year with everyone running along Portobello promenade in the annual Promathon. Max, Hannah and Cherry set out on the 2 mile fun run and all got round in good times without stopping. Colin did the 4 miles run and came in with a time of 29 min 16 secs, a good improvement on last year (32 minutes).
After lunch we went out to Greyfriars to look for a Geocache.
